Portfolio Design & Production

It’s my last quarter of college (where did that come from?). I’ve been stocking up on Neenah Paper and Pina Zangaro portfolio materials, writing project descriptions, shooting new product photos and trying not to re-invent the resumé. Simplify. Simplify. Simplify.

Apple Creative Director, Hiroki Asai told me: “We want to see ideas, see how you think. We can teach you the rest.”

It has been my goal over the past four years to not only develop a portfolio with a vast amount of well-executed projects, but to show reviewers and critics exactly how I think, brainstorm, ideate and execute a concept.

Website Updates

Well, if you’re reading this then you’ve probably noticed a few things that have changed at NickCreates.com. New projects. New formatting. New bio (I’m still waiting for that Brian). A little bit of new code too.

Take a look around and enjoy!

Found this gem in my mini before I took it into the shop  yesterday.

This picture was taken during a soccer trip through the UK when I was about 11. I got a Mini Cooper S before I left to college and  my dad placed this photo on the dash. Ah, nostalgia.

Fuel

What can I say, I’m a Nike fanatic. I just pre-ordered a Nike Fuel Band and I’m counting down until February 22.

Side Note: It’s been a busy school year and I apologize for my extreme lack of posts, but I can tell you that I have some exciting new UI projects on the horizon.

Heads Up: I am going to start posting some design freebies!

I just finished a small, one page site to thank all of the amazing people that I worked with this past summer (No link with new site, sorry).

Last Day #2

This Wednesday feels just like a very well-deserved Friday. Probably, because I just completed my final day with Mez Design (marking the end of my two and a half months of internships)! Now it’s time to move back to San Luis Obispo and enjoy what is left of my so-called “summer”. I’ve got a new house to move into, soccer tryouts, a few freelance projects, and friends to catch-up with.

I’ll be back with more posts in a few weeks.

Cheers
